On the 31st December 1995, Paul van Peperstraten and his family arrived in Australia.
Paul soon started work as a Novell Netware Engineer at a local computer company called Axis Connections, wherein he did service work on the Novel Network System at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre and various other local companies.
After working at Axis Connections for only 2/3 weeks, the company folded and Paul planned to move to Sydney where there were more job opportunities in computer networking and Novel Netware. At the time, Novell Netware was the market leader in client server computing and Paul is a Novell Certified Netware Engineer.
Nevertheless, a call from the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre persuaded Paul to stay in Bunbury, as they wanted him to perform a complete overhaul of the BREC’s networking system and integrate the MacIntosh computers within the Novel Network.
This inspired Paul to start his own business and soon he was approached by other local companies to take care of their computer networks. As word spread, Paul’s business grew and he soon had to move his home-based business to a shared office space at the corner of King and Sandridge Rd.
Since then, TNE has grown from strength to strength with the support of its clients, suppliers, vendors and employees.
Today, just over 22 years later, TNE is a well-established business in Bunbury with many well-known businesses as clients. Nowadays, the TNE offices are located in Victoria Street, and continue to grow.
The future is looking bright for TNE, as they have been appointed as an expert referral partner for the Business Advisory South West & Peel. The Business Advisory South West & Peel is an initiative funded by the Government of Western Australia – Small Business Development Corporation and is powered by IPS.
Paul’s enthusiasm for running an Information Technology business and being a part of the local community knows no bounds. After all these years, Paul is proud to announce that the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre not only remain a loyal TNE client, but TNE has become an official partner of the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.
